I would definately recommend. SIlestone (or generically quartz) is less porous than granite. The question you might have in your mind however is this – are quartz worktops more expensive than granite ? However, it is a softer stone (made of talc, same thing as talcum powder). Sometimes just referred to as quartz, other times called engineered stone, this is gorgeous stuff. Corian is cheaper than quartz.
